Happy Holidays
“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
What does actual PEACE look like during the rush and hustle of the Christmas season? What kind of holiday would we have if we were filled with JOY and PEACE? A holiday a lot like what we experienced as children. Remember what the holidays were like as a child? Everything was magical, exciting, and there was so much anticipation. Even as adults we should still be filled with that excitement, JOY, and anticipation because just growing older does not make the holidays any less spectacular.
This holiday season remember the reason for the season, the celebration of Jesus Christ’s birth.
Joy to the world! The Lord is come:
let earth receive her King!
Let every heart prepare him room
and heaven and nature sing.
Joy to the earth! the Saviour reigns:
let men their songs employ
while fields and floods rocks hills and plains
repeat the sounding joy.
No more let sins and sorrows grow
nor thorns infest the ground:
he comes to make his blessings flow
far as the curse is found.
While you are enjoying your family, celebrating Christ’s birth, and remembering all your blessings, do not forget to reach out to those without family members, homes or those affected by war, natural disasters, etc. This year alone, millions of people have been displaced by terrorists, evacuated because of natural disasters, had loved ones die or killed. The point is no matter what your life might look like, remember that there is always something to be thankful for and there is always some way you can give back to others. This holiday season remember to be thankful and giving.
